In the rich cultural tapestry of Mozambique, Xavier Machiana stands out as a truly multi-talented artist. Renowned not only for his musical prowess but also for his roles as a composer, actor, social activist, and TV presenter, Machiana has made significant contributions to both the Mozambican music scene and various social initiatives.

His role as the vocalist, guitarist, and composer for the band Rockfeller marked a significant milestone in the Mozambican rock scene. The band garnered fame, performing over 500 shows and thrilling audiences of more than 10,000 in venues across the country, earning numerous accolades along the way.


Throughout his illustrious career, Machiana has had the privilege of sharing stages with iconic artists such as Bono Vox (U2), Sandra St. Victor, Kool & The Gang, and UB40, enriching his musical journey with valuable experiences and insights.



As the founder and lead vocalist of the band INDIGO BLUE, Machiana has brought together a collective of six talented individuals, each contributing unique cultural and musical influences. On stage, Indigo Blue delivers a mesmerizing blend of Rock, Jazz, Gospel, Soul, and infectious Funk, captivating audiences with their dynamic performances.
